James Murphy showed up on the Colbert Report last night (Feb. 14) and held what will presumably be one of his last interviews while LCD Soundsystem are still around. Colbert naturally asked him about that, causing Murphy to say he was too old to continue in the band, and they also discussed his commitment to fostering new talent on his DFA label. “There are only three ways to end your career as a rocker: overdose, overstay your welcome, or write Spider-Man: The Musical,” joked Colbert.
