It may not have a title yet, but the new LCD Soundsystem album is due out on May 18, and is rumored to be the last record James Murphy will release under that name. The band has just announced a couple of shows in New York, which will take place at Terminal 5 on May 20/21, and is offering this preview of “Drunk Girls” from the album.
Murphy recently said the song is “about drunk people and fun things and the fact that all of the boys of the L.A. mansion we recorded at were called 'the girls' by our chef. We were the ladies of the mansion." An excerpt of the track “Pow Pow” is also streaming at this link.
