LCD Soundsystem: "Dance Yrself Clean" and "I Can Change"
We All Want Someone To Shout For has, probably via illegal means, gotten its hands on two tracks from the upcoming third LCD Soundsystem album, This Is Happening. You can hear them here. Go now. Quick, before they disappear.
"Dance Yrself Clean" is a nearly nine minute ascending dance jam that I suspect will fucking slay at musical festivals this summer. The sound over there is sketchy, but still, good indication of what to expect. The sound is much better for "I Can Change," a six minute Sound of Silver-sounding buzzer that finds frontman James Murphy in crooner mode. I didn't think it was possible for me to get more excited for this, but then, damn, this stuff comes out.
This is Happening is due out on May 18.

Agreed, man, this has severely peaked my interest. Murphy definitely switches up the vocal style on both of these tracks. I get a bit of a 'the dude from cold war kids vibe' on dance yrself clean (but less annoying) and the 'crooning' on I can change is much more melodic than I'm used to aside from maybe NY I love you...
