Late of the Pier: "Blueberry" (Video)

Early this year British foursome Late of the Pier saw their album Fantasy Black Channel hit stateside after some glowing praise from the British music press. Now the band is prepping that disc's follow-up, Blueberry Pie, for a 2010 release. Earlier this month the group released "Blueberry," the new CD's first single, as a digital download.

Like much of Fantasy, "Blueberry" is a schizophrenic cut of '80's-influenced dance-rock, shooting from one idea to another in the time it takes to blink and sounding like the musical score to being trapped in a kaleidoscope. Now they've released an interesting video for the track, which looks like it could be Syd Barrett's home video footage but ends up actually being more cohesive than the song. [Discobelle]
