People love remixing Lana Del Rey songs. More than they actually love Lana Del Rey. What's the deal? Is it because her vacant, detached voice is like a blank canvas for sound engineers? Is it because a general Google search of 'Lana Del Rey' produces a billion results and they want to ride that money train? Well, whatever the motivation, here's another LDR remix--this time Norwegian producer Lindstrøm takes that 30-second clip of "Blue Velvet" (from Del Rey's H&M campaign) and somehow transforms it into a 9 minute convulsion-inducing nu-disco trance. Stripped of 60s pop gold and not really "Lynchian" either, the song sounds like an eerie call from the future--the sexy future, of course.
