Lambchop: "Came Home Late"
In contrast to all of the reunions of bands from the Merge-era indie (like Archers of Loaf and Polvo), Lambchop have never really gone away. But there's still time for nostalgia: Lamchop have a new rarities comp out now called Turd Goes Back: Essential Tracks from Secret Sourpuss & Big Tussy and the tracks on it are lo-fi, howling masterpieces. Stereogum has the stream of one such track: It's called "Came Home Late," and it's available to stream over here. It shows all of the heights Lambchop would go to once their sound was fleshed out.
The album is out now in very limited form (only 200 copies). Good luck grabbing one.
