Zebras are the new rock & roll. At least, that’s the theory behind the new video for Ladytron’s Runaway. The clip, which is taken from the recent album Velocifero, finds the band sprouting black and white stripes as singer Helen Marnie leads them through the track. Runaway is the kind of ear candy that sticks to your head like glue once you’ve given it a few spins, and the video is a suitably artful reflection of the song. The best part comes with a full band shot at the end of the clip, which features Mira wheezing away on an old accordion that surely doesn’t feature in the song.
