Ladytron: "Mirage" (Video)
Ladytron's sleek future-pop vision continued with the release of Gravity the Seducer earlier this year, from which the band has lifted "Mirage" as a single. This is a band working well within its comfort zone at present, with Helen Marnie's familiar vocals combining with pulverizing electronic beats and keyboard lines reminiscent of the kind of work Depeche Mode were indulging in circa Music for the Masses. The video has a more pastoral feel, with a Stonehenge-esque set providing the backdrop for some hooded figures to undertake a Wicker Man-like ritual. Check it out below. [via AHIAS]
