Ladyhawke: My Delirium (Fan Death Remix) [MP3]

Ladyhawke's "My Delirium" is a good example of self-conscious, unattached, ageless guitar pop. Fledgling nouveau disco duo Fan Death add a couple of handclaps, piano chords, and chugging synths, and all of a sudden the unruly, insouciant original is unrecognizable as this slinky, dangerous, serious product.  The girls in Fan Death even add some backing vocals at the end of the track to "bedroom it up" a little bit further. You can't necessarily take either the hard-edged original or the provocative remix home to momma, but they're both more than appropriate for evening streets. [Fader/RCRDLBL]
