Melissa Ann Sweat, the Lady (and, um, the Lazarus) in Lady Lazarus, crafts ghostly homespun piano ballads that, despite their low fidelity and relative simplicity, seem genuinely epic. Sweat's voice comes through the ether on "Sick Child" from between the cracks of a circutious piano riff that becomes profound in its meditative repitition.
