Lady Gaga appeared on the View yesterday (Aug. 1), where she took part in an extended interview and performed a version of “You and I” (above). The discussion mostly centered on the recent passing of Amy Winehouse. “I’m just so devastated and so sad,” Gaga said. “I just think that the most unfortunate thing about it all is the way the media spins things like ‘here we can learn from Amy’s death.’ I don’t feel that Amy needed to learn any lessons. I felt that the lesson was for the world to be kinder to the superstar.” This sparked a talk about loneliness, addiction and how her dad saved her from drugs—but she does admit that she’s "a little part of the green club sometimes.” We look forward to Gaga’s epic stoner rock album at some point in the (hopefully) not-too distant future.
