Lady Gaga knows how to give good hat. So it proved once again on American Idol last night (May 25), where she donned a pointy headpiece and performed atop a pile of rocks. Naturally, those rocks included a built-in keyboard. “Edge of Glory” is one of the highlights of Born This Way, and it even includes a sax solo by E-Street legend Clarence Clemons, although this clip is too dimly lit to tell whether that’s him on stage with Gaga. The best part of this performance is when a hunk scales the rock face and begins gyrating with Gaga to the sound of that sax. Let’s hope Dr. Steve Brule wasn’t watching.
