The public adoration for Lady GaGa reached fever pitch last week when she performed a set of spectacular shows in her native New York at Madison Square Garden. The singer proved what a consummate professional she is by performing outside despite a rainstorm on the Today Show during her residency in the city, while a group of her soaked “little monsters” looked on.
We’ve already been promised a new Gaga album in the not-too distant future, which is a relief, as “Alejandro” still sounds like a limp-dick pop move by a record label desperate to squeeze a few bucks out of its prize possession. To her credit, Gaga does her best to promote it here, although her plain suit and blond wig are disappointingly conservative—let’s hope she’s not going for a new “mature” angle.
