Lady GaGa: "Alejandro" (Live on American Idol) (Video)

Lady Gaga is going to milk The Fame Monster for all its worth. The quickie follow-up to “Telephone” is “Alejandro,” a vaguely Spanish influenced “La Isla Bonita”-style song that she performed in typically ostentatious fashion on the results show of American Idol last night (May 5).

The first sign that this is the bottom of Gaga’s barrel is the sound of the opening few bars of “Bad Romance” that were worked into this performance, which most people would probably rather have heard instead of this disappointingly limp track. It’s just about worth watching to hear Gaga’s hilariously bad Spanish accent, but she really needs to head back into the studio and cook up something new at this point.

I got to the anachronistic electric-guitar squeals in the intro.

I'm not a fan of her work, but I can admit when a track of hers is catchy...this one just stinks.
