The pervading influence of 80's electronic music on the bands that dominate the blogosphere is becoming, for some, an annoyance, but few groups seem to have as much fun with the phenomenon as La Roux. "In For The Kill" shows a really serious Elly Jackson behind the wheel of an old sports car, chasing someone or being chased. Towards the end she meets an epic, intensely backlit double of herself, but just speeds on past. I imagine cause she's still going in for the kill. [Discobelle]
I like Quicksand a bit more. But still, La Roux has the best hair in pop. FOR REALZ.
