Kylesa: "Tired Climb"
Double-drummer sporting Savannah metal quintet Kylesa has a new album coming out on Oct. 26 called Spiral Shadow via Season Of Mist, and "Tired Climb" is a great first glimpse into what they're bringing this time around. The intro and chorus emphasize the more psychedelic elements of their past material, allowing the guitars to descend into bays of foggy effects. Meanwhile, the verses are all propulsive chug commandeered by Philip Cope's urgent, shouted vocals. It's one of the band's simpler songs to date, but no less effective.
