Even with some flaws, KRS-One and Buckshot's Survival Skills was a consistent, well-produced, and overall solid album. The terrible artwork and moments of bitterness were less than welcoming, but these two veteran MCs made up for it. The video for their album's title-track places them in a video game setting, where contracts and 360 deals are the obstacles. No goombas or turtles here, just wack rappers and phony A&Rs. I can obviously see what director Todd Angkasuwan was going for, but -- and call me overly critical if you must -- it falls flat. Luckily the song itself is good enough to pick up the slack.
