Knxwledge: "Kalvery[Taykeitbakmash][edit]"

Knxwledge is serious about showing his appreciation for the late J Dilla, who would have been 38 yesterday had he not passed away from health complications in 2006. And even though he already paid tribute yesterday with "TakeitBak.Medli," Knx has decided to again remix/mash "Let's Take It Back" off Dilla's Ruff Draft.

Whereas its predecessor was a dreamier, more romantic-flavored affair, "Kalvery" is a grimy, straight-from-the-tape piece of boom-bap in the style of Jay Dee. We're sure he'd absolutely love this, partially because we most certainly do. Here's hoping Knx decides to drop a full project of tracks like this. Stream "Kalvery" below.
