We’ve already had a glimpse of “Echoes” from Klaxons’ upcoming second album Surfing the Void, and now comes a lavish music video for the track set in the desert. Presumably their record label has forgiven the band for taking so long to come up with something listenable for this record and is now throwing some money behind it.
After all the turmoil and years in the wilderness, “Echoes” doesn’t sound a great deal different from Klaxons’ previous material, and this band-at-the-end-of-the-world clip fits perfectly with their “Four Horseman of 2012” shtick from Myths of the Near Future. Expect more of the same from Surfing the Void when it finally surfaces.

Is it just me or does this video look like a much less awesome cross between yeasayer ambling alp and coldplay violet hill? i love the klaxons, but it's time to tighten up.
