Klaxons: "Bad Romance" (Live Lady Gaga Cover) (Streaming)
Klaxons’ cover of Grace’s house classic “Not Over Yet” was one of the highlights of their debut album, Myths of the Near Future, and the band has decided to turn to more contemporary fare during the promo duties for their new record, Surfing the Void. Head over to A Heart Is Not a Spade to hear the boys cover Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance.”
This was recorded for an Australian radio station called Triple J, and finds the band talking about their admiration for Gaga before delivering their version of the song. It’s a surprisingly placid version of “Bad Romance,” with the song stripped of all its beats, supplemented by an acoustic thrum, and given a bittersweet air that was entirely absent from the original.
