Kings of Leon brought their current single, "Use Somebody" (aka the only song on Only By the Night that isn't mostly awful), to Leno's program on Friday night, and as usual, the Kings performance was proficient and a pretty close rendering of the original. I'll never understand how these guys could go from making okay garage rock and playing an afternoon set at Lollapalooza (like they did in 2007) to making sub-Editors arena rock and being chosen as a night time headliner at Lollapalooza (like this year). They actually got rewarded for getting worse; they won Grammys in March.
