Kings of Leon are becoming a bigger band almost by the week these days. Last week, three tracks of theirs got released to Rock Band, and on Friday they played the Today show in support of Only By the Night, performing "Sex on Fire" (above) "Use Somebody" and "Notion" (below) aka three of their worst songs. On one hand, it's kind of cool that band that started with a tiny audience can play the Today Show, but on the other hand it's infinitely lame that they do so post making an album manufactured solely to appeal to people who watch the Today Show.
Only By the Night is out now.

I kind of agree with you there. I wished they played one of the old songs from "Aha Shake Heartbreak" or something. Kings of Leon's early albums were so raw and amazing, that it pales in comparison to their latest album. I still love "Only By The Night" but I liked when they played music when it was for themselves and the real fans instead of playing music that sells out arenas with fans only knowing one song.
