Kings of Leon are preparing for their victory lap with their fifth album, Come Around Sundown, their first album since they became one of the biggest (and worst) rock bands on earth. First single, "Radioactive," got released to radio this morning, along with the above Billy Joel-approved video that finds the Kings (once again) flaunting their Southern roots as some kind of authenticity. Let's be real though: At least this isn't as offensive to all the senses as "Sex on Fire," though this does bear all the Big Album contrivances, like the kid choir and such. I think we can all agree that the Southern Strokes thing no longer applies; the Strokes would never be this corny.
Come Around Sundown is due out on Oct. 19 via Sony.
