Pigeons' favorite band (or is it least favorite?) Kings of Leon were on Letterman last night, trotting out thoroughly inoffensive new single "Radioactive." I don't know if you guys read that Pitchfork Reviews Reviews blog, but that dude had an interesting point about Kings of Leon: Basically Kings of Leon are totally non-pretentious. They're just doing the songs they want to hear, and they want to drink and get laid. And people hate them because they assume that this is a joke on their part, like they're aware that we're aware that they just want to drink and bone. But they're too earnest for that. It's an interesting way to see Kings of Leon, I guess. But what's not interesting? This performance by Kings of Leon.
Come Around Sundown is out now.
Is this the lead single? "Use Somebody" it isn't but, like most of their music, I can see this becoming a guilty pleasure.
Do you mean that as you like "Use Somebody" and yr bummed it's not?
