“Kill Me (John Talabot’s Killed In Room 161 Remix)”

“Kill Me” was a quality track from the Golden Filter’s 2011 record Syndromes. Spanish producer John Talabot, who recently released his excellent LP ƒin, got his hands on the track and produced this rather fantastic remix. If you even marginally enjoyed ƒin, you’ll get a similar rush from this seven-minute slow burn. Where on that Talabot record the emotional weight was done by Pional’s singing, on this “Kill Me” remix, Talabot cherry picks snatches of Golden Filter singer Penelope Trappe’s vocal lines from the original track for the same effect. Check the song out below and postulate why this is called the “Killed in Room 161” remix in the comments section. [XLR8R]
