Kid Sister is rap at its most populist. Opting to spit about grandparents, double-dutch, and barbecue instead of the usual "blunts and bitches" fodder.  Case in point: Family Reunion, the new track from the Chicago rapper's long awaited debut LP Dream Date, is just a track for anyone who's ever been forced to spend the weekend in Missouri etc., and come back with one of those oversized (surname here) Family Reunion shirts.  According to the folks at Kid Sister's label Fool's Gold, the album is finally done and we have this Diplo-produced, very summery track as a result. Ms. Young even tries her hand singing on this one, but we'll probably have to wait a while longer to hear if there's more on the album. [FoolsGoldBlog]
