Kid Cudi has left Lady Gaga’s Monster Ball tour behind, following in Kanye West’s footsteps by becoming the second rapper to back out of a set of dates with the pop diva. A statement claims he took “an early leave of absence from Lady Gaga’s Monster Ball tour, in order to balance his schedule surrounding the recording of his next album and acting commitments.”
Cudi's certainly committed to promoting his Man on the Moon: The End of Day album, and showed up on Conan O’Brien’s show last night (Dec. 22) to perform “Pursuit of Happiness” from the record. He’s joined by a barely-audible string section for this performance, although sadly not co-conspirators MGMT or Ratatat, who respectively played on and produced the original version of this song.
