Kid Cudi

"Pursuit of Happiness" ft. Ratatat (Live on Letterman) (Video)

Kid Cudi's performance of "Pursuit of Happiness" on Letterman on Friday had way less MGMT than the official version, but it does have a lot of Motown-esque hand choreography from Cudi. At around the 2:40 mark Ratatat's guitarist does a hilarious hair metal guitar solo complete with rocker moves that totally doesn't fit the rest of the languid performance, which only makes it even more awesome.

Kid Cudi's Man on the Moon: The End of Day is out tomorrow.

Motown, that's what I was thinking of. First thing that popped in my mind was Sia, and I was raised on Motown, I feel so ashamed.

Great show though. Kinda clunky at first but his performance really improved as the song progressed.
