Last night’s appearance by Kid Cudi on Jimmy Fallon’s show firmed up his St. Vincent fandom. He’s sampled her track “The Strangers” on his song “Maniac” on the upcoming Man on the Moon 2: The Legend Of Mr. Rager, and the pair combined with Cage and the Roots, plus a guy who seemed to be playing an iPhone, to deliver this version of the song. Amazingly, it actually works, with Annie Clark's eerie vocals making a perfectly ghoulish accompaniment to Cudi's verses.
I...actually like this.
never thought i'd see cage on late night tv 10 years ago
Truth^
This dude has great ambition and ideas. I just wish he was a better rapper. Good performance though.
^ I agree, just compare his verse to Cage's(I felt Cage held back too). Maybe Cage could teach him a thing or two and Cudi could teach Cage about the commercial game.
Jason
its good cudi isnt commercial. hes truly expressing himself through music unlike most artists.
