Another week passes and we are treated (eh, subjected to, really) another leak from Kid Cudi's upcoming sophomore project, Man On The Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager. OK, that was kind of harsh. But man, what is it with some rappers just feeling the need to completely dive head-first into an atrocious try at power-pop? First, B.o.B attempted this on his lackluster debut and now Cudi's apparently doing it. Even though this is just a radio rip, "Erase Me" comes through pretty clear and, well, it sounds like a shitty Weezer cover*. You know, from Weezer's recent, bland output. Hopefully this is the only track we hear like this on the album.
You can stream "Erase Me" over at Nah Right. The Legend of Mr. Rager is due out Sept. 14.
*Props to fellow Prefix writer Craig Jenkins for bringing that comparison to mind. Actually, no, I think I would have possibly enjoyed this if you didn't make me think of that. On second thought, yeah, no, this track is weak.
"BEVERLY HILLS!!! THAT'S WHERE I WANT... TO BEEEE!!!!!!"
"BEVERLY HILLS!!! THAT'S WHERE I WANT... TO BEEEEE"
i just kept thinking this Cudi doing Weezer
Craig ruins everything. Even bad Cudi songs.
this article is pretty much music snob bullsh1t! erase me is a solid track, and will probably grow on me lots. normally i dont go out of my way to comment things, but i feel compelled when dudes are saying this unjustified crap about some awesome musicians

The song is emo trash. And I'd scarcely call Cudi a "musician", and this is coming from a dude who pretty much listened to nothing but Man on the Moon from September to December last year. The singing on this is awful, and the beat is standard issue. Luckily the 'Ye verse is all right. Back to the drawing board, overall.
LMFAO yeah **** that music snob******** how dare you have an opinion different than my own, this is offensive to me and I must post about it
