Isn't it weird how Ke$ha arrived in a lady-pop landscape scorched to the ground by Katy Perry, and then Katy Perry comes back with a song that is basically a Ke$ha song with better "rapping"? I mean, seriously, "California Gurls" is a Ke$ha song. Just listen to those cornball synths and the stupid chorus. Perry performed the song on the MTV Movie Awards last night, and from the general excitement in the arena there, expect this one to be burned into your subconscious alongside "I Kissed a Girl." This is going to blow up your radio. Also, Katy Perry has a blue wig now? Fine. Also, Snoop? Ouch, player.
Aside from Perry's chesticles this was the most aversive musical performance I have ever witnessed.
