Kate Bush: "Deeper Understanding" (2011)
Pop icon Kate Bush hasn't put out a record since 2005's Aerial, but now it's six years later and she's ready to drop her latest next month. Director's Cut will feature the singer reworking songs from 1989's The Sensual World and 1993's The Red Shoes, and we've already got one result from the effort. The original cut of "Deeper Understanding" appears on The Sensual World, and Bush's 2011 version is, maybe surprisingly, less dramatic than its forebear, even considering the addition of some well-chosen Auto-Tune.
There's no word yet on what other songs will be getting renovated by Bush. Is it too much to hope for a duet with Maxwell on a new version of "This Woman's Work"?
