This Spike Jonze directed clip was originally intended to be a much a shorter video to accompany the release of Kanye West's 808s and Heartbreak, but once they started working it grew into something much larger, clearly.

 

I for one, really hope that this is what Kanye West's life is actually like. I hope that he gets wasted beyond recognition at clubs, unsuccessfully hits on girls, bangs pillows, is actually filled with tiny paper hearts, and nightly confronts the wild thing inside of him. If "We Were Once a Fairytale," were fact, Yeezy's authenticity would be beyond reproach. In fact, that's probably what he's aiming for.
