Two hours after announcing via Twitter that he had indeed finished My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, Kanye West unleashed the latest G.O.O.D. Friday track. And, like a majority of the others, it's a slightly extended, albeit focused, semi-posse cut. On "The Joy," Yeezy's joined by the likes of Pete Rock, Jay-Z, Charlie Wilson, Curtis Mayfield and Kid Cudi. Not a bad lineup at all, if you ask me. A majority of them appear on the bridge/hook while Pete Rock has laced the killer beat and Jay-Z spits the third verse.
Thinking back to news I posted about a month ago, I have to assume that "The Joy" will appear on Jay and 'Ye's forthcoming Watch the Throne. Pete Rock was one of several producers rumored to be on the collaborative EP-turned-LP, so hopefully this is a taste of what we can expect from the album.
Download "The Joy," which is pretty awesome, over at Kanye's blog.
Did not like this week's release at all!
