Kanye West: "Power" f. Dwele
Anyone doubting whether or not Kanye West is returning to his hip-hop roots on Good Ass Job can now listen to "Power," which just might be the first leak from the forthcoming record. And it turns out that he received some help from Texas producer Symbolyc One (aka S1), of Strange Fruit Project, on this beat and not No I.D. as I originally assumed. That comes as a surprise only because it sounds reminscent of the tracks No I.D. and Yeezy worked on for Jay-Z's The Blueprint 3. Also, No I.D. is one of several producers slated to work on Good Ass Job, with the others being Pete Rock, Q-Tip, RZA and DJ Premier.
"Power" isn't much of a step-up lyrically or flow-wise for Yeezy as he appears stuck on that half-rapping/half-sing-song style heard on Graduation, but he's still entertaining. And the handclap-driven, anthemic beat does make hearing that Austin Powers reference tolerable. But the best part of "Power" might just be its epic track-ending breakdown, which features Dwele and 'Ye trading somber vocals over a guitar solo.
This isn't a bad start, Kanye, but here's hoping the next leak features better (read: wittier) lyrics. You can stream and download the track here.

I think it's a King Crimson sample, actually. Also, he does have a few clever bars, like the one you (Jordan) and thestorfer mentioned, but he, per usual, has plenty of duds, too. I like the track, just not overly excited about it.

Im probly one of kanye's biggiest fan...and I love the song ...the lyrics may seem abit rascist (which I'm pretty sure not many will notice)...I just wish we where of that black vs white sh##t....but other than that..I think kanye's the best better than any other rapper by far...tHINK ABOUT it ...drake said that kanye is by far his biggiest inspiration musically...and jay and wayne alreardy mention kanye as Genius ....cant wait for Good A%% Job...
