There were previews, live versions, but now here is the official MP3 for Kanye West's "Love Lockdown." It's the first single off his upcoming album 808's & Heartbreak.

"Love Lockdown" is reportedly a preview of what to expect on the album. The track finds West singing with some use of the Auto-Tune effect over a darker beat then anything we've heard him on in the past. West has even stated on his blog that "Love Lockdown" was his favorite track to date. There's also been speculation that the track is about his ex-fiance Alexis Phifer. 

I have no problem with Kanye singing versus rapping, but I was hoping the track would sound far more polished than the live versions that had been floating around. Regardless, I am eagerly anticipating the release of  808's & Heartbreak to find out what Kanye has in store this time around.

"Love Lockdown" was officially released on October 7, 2008.
