Kanye West: Love Lockdown (Live on Ellen) (Video)
Apparently the Kanye West- Ellen DeGeneres collabo went further than Kanye premiering his video for “Love Lockdown” on her show—he returned to Ellen to perform the song live. Kanye brought back the Nick Cannon-less drumline that he had on the VMAs, but now they’re wearing Daft Punk helmets. It’s still a really strange song (an auto-tuner Kanye?), but its kind of growing on me. I like how huge it sounds—Kanye’s really not afraid to seem pompous. It’s also still a trip that he premiered and performed on Ellen instead of a show that actually has a hip-hop fan base (or on Letterman or Leno), but these are strange times in the music biz. 10 Grammys? I didn't realize his total was that high. Damn.
He's been nominated 24 times and won 10 with 3 albums. That has to be a record or at least close to it.
10 Grammys or not, you guys are assuming that that's still an award worth winning. It certainly used to be.
