In the latest in his continuing effort to forever keep his name in the headlines of music blogs, Kanye has released his ninth G.O.O.D. Friday track, "Don't Stop," featuring Pharrell and Lupe Fiasco. Together the three of them form the hip-hop wet dream supergroup Child Rebel Soldier, which has been somewhat active since 2007.
The last CRS track we heard was based around a piano and a Thom York sample and came out mellow and introspective. "Don't Stop" isn't like that. It's much more high energy, built around a killer synth line and a bunch of hand claps and banging on cans. "Who needs a chorus / We do it Tyrannosaurus," raps Kanye, which pretty much sums it up.
Probably Child Rebel Soldier will be a thing that these three do every year or so just to have fun, but it's always fun to speculate. Especially since Pharrell and Lupe have, let's be honest, kind of fallen off lately, let's cross our fingers that this (like all the other recent Kanye collaborations) comes back soon.

Pharrell is jacking Pusha T's style here. Who did this beat?
Cant believe it is Kanye's.
Well, being that Pusha and Mal used to write Pharrell's parts on Clipse albums, I'm not surprised.
