This weekend, when fans of jazz group the Robert Glasper Experiment stopped by the Blue Note, the show was billed as featuring G.O.O.D. Music stable member and skateboard rapper Lupe Fiasco. Imagine the crowd's surprise, then, when not only Lupe show up to perform his mini-set, but rap stalwart Mos Def and pop megastar Kanye West dropped by unannounced.
The blog CiscoNYC was smart enough to capture the whole thing, which features Kanye rocking a five-minute plus freestyle where he drops punchlines that take on tour sponsers, Beyonce, people who think he hates white folks, bloggers, and a rather memorable line against conspiracy theorists: "All this Illuminati talk/ As if my first hit single wasn't "Jesus Walks." It may sound like a typical Kanye rant on paper, and it kind of is, but damn if the whole thing isn't ridiculously listenable, especially the points where you can hear genuine emotion and vulnerability punching through Ye's posturing.
Yeezy then let's Mos Def take center stage, who spits a typically solid verse that unfortunately doesn't end with him shouting "Swag" into the nearest camera. Robert Glasper's quartet rocks a beat that is appropriately light and airy, allowing both of these seasoned performers to take over the stage. Check out the track, and Glasper and Lupe Fiasco performing "Kick Push," below. [P4k]

Taylor Swift's fans are the KKK
Pale Horse
PALE HORSE IS A RACIST. Apparently the only way white people can get upset when a white woman is verbally attacked and embarrassed by a black man is if they are in the KK. This man or 3woman is clearly a genius.
Neil
yeah taylor swifts fans are the KKK? Are you seriously that intelligent i have to believe anybody able to write and compose sentences can see that a reaction against kanye for his behavior that night was not based on racism. SO by your definition black men can do ANYTHING to white woman and white people cannot react unless they want to be called racist and KKK. You have truly taken reverse racism to an entirely new level you f&*king moron. GO die in a fire and help society in doing so!
