Hey, you guys remember grime? In the early-'00s it was the new British house/rap that spawned a couple senior theses on post-colonial cultural exchange and basicaly combined lots of bass with cell phone jingles. In-fighting and a few subpar albums kind of erased it from the American public consciousness, though, and dubstep became the thing that non-Brit music fans cared about.
But Kano's still here, doing it like he's been doing it since the beginning. Or, maybe not quite like he's always done it, I guess. He's gone pretty shiny in this video, and the huge sheet of tinfoil behind him is a kind of neat effect, though it makes him look like he's in a cell phone commercial. But still, he's out there holding it down.
