Time To Pretend (MGMT Cover)(Video)

French TV can't seem to get enough of MGMT at the moment. Last week, as we showed you, the duo lyp-synched "Kids" while frolicking around a Thanksgiving-themed studio. This week it's the Kaiser Chiefs that bring MGMT to the French TV audience.

The lads from Leeds performed "Time To Pretend" on a French variety show last night, in an appearance that was significantly less surreal than MGMT's the week before. Their version of "Time To Pretend" remains fairly faithful to the original, despite the U2 "I Will Follow" harmonies towards the end. Watch the video here. [Les Inrocks]

I wonder what the story is behind them covering "Time to Pretend." Funny line about the U2esque harmonies at the end.

It's strange choice alright, and it's not the first time either. They played a version on BBC Radio a while back as well.
