Junior Boys: "Banana Ripple"
Canadian pop duo Junior Boys are ready to drop their fourth studio full-length, It's All True, this summer, and they've released "Banana Ripple" from that record to whet our appetites. In most cases choosing a 9-minute song as the first advance track from your new release is a bit of a risky bet, but "Banana Ripple" makes it clear in the first 30 seconds that Junior Boys have put together an earnest, compelling piece of pop funk that never drones or drags throughout its length. At heart a dance track, look for a 12-inch release to procede the street date for It's All True, featuring remixes from the Field and remix grand master Tom Moulton.
It's All True is out on Domino Records June 14.
