Trevor Powers, better known as Youth Lagoon, had himself a pretty damn great 2011 thanks to a killer album in The Year of Hibernation, which easily made its way onto our top albums list. And a good reason for that was the single “July” that now, four months later, has received a video treatment. You’ll see in the video below why it took so long for everyone to do this — aside from Powers’ busy tour schedule — as it plays out like some sort of messed up anti-drug/violence PSA from the ’80s. It’s totally fitting, though, given the cinematic nature of the track itself.
