Jose James: "Code" prod. Flying Lotus
In between working on his upcoming Cosmogramma release and playing shows here and there, Flying Lotus has apparently been shopping some of his beats to like-minded artists. One of those was Jose James, a singer who treads the line between downtempo R&B and neo-soul. His latest album, Blackmagic, is his best yet as he blends those two aforementioned styles for a hazy, altogether great experience. And the album gets off to a smooth start with "Code," a groovy, keyboards-driven number produced by FlyLo that you can stream over at 2DopeBoyz.
Blackmagic is in stores now on Brownswood Recordings.
