The way Jonti's latest tune, "The Days Have Turned," builds from one movement to the next, you wouldn't be wrong to think it was some kind of mini-mix for an upcoming EP or album. But it's merely a single track he's created to convey the journeys he has taken over the past few weeks in Los Angeles. It's there that he previously ran into Odd Future's Hodgy Beats, who recorded with Jonti to create "Nagoya."
On "The Days Have Turned," however, the Australian resident has collaborated more loosely with the Stepkids and Illa J, the latter of whom you might know as J Dilla's younger brother. Their contributions are that of wordless vocals that help to create a dreamy soundscape, which builds and then crashes into a droning wave. You can stream the track below.
