The new Jonathan Richman album is titled O Moon, Queen of Night, and was partly recorded in Spain and South America. This performance of “These Bodies That Came to Cavort" on Jimmy Fallon’s show, complete with an appearance by with Richman’s longtime drummer Tommy Larkins, offers a taster of what to expect. The delivery is classic Richman, except this time it’s presented in a stripped down acoustic setting that feels so endearingly tender that it might fall apart at any second, and even features (irk!) a drum solo, which allows Richman to show off his rudimentary dancing skills.
