Here's what I know about the Jonas Brothers: they were made in an underground labratory by Disney, my 9-year-old cousin insists they are the best band ever, and Russell Brand annihilated them at last year's VMAs. Apparently the Jonas Brothers have a new album out soon, and they appeared on Letterman last night to perform the first single, "Paranoid." The band is accompanied by a robust string section and a rocking band, which is kind of strange for a Disney creation; I mean, seriously, aren't they supposed to just be backed up by a non-ironic white DJ or something? The song is apparently, as it's title suggests, about going paranoid, but then how come the dudes keep smiling all the time? Shouldn't they look paranoid? Someone needs to get these cats acting lessons/anti-mugging for the camera lessons.
Lines, Vines and Trying Times is due out on June 15, and will probably sell a bazillion copies.
