The Yours Truly team recently caught up with John Vanderslice to shoot this clip of him and his band performing “Overcoat” from his new record White Wilderness. The singer worked with the classically trained Magik*Magik Orchestra on the record, and their time together is reflected here, in a clip that's taken directly from the sessions for that record. The Orchestra really make the studio seem like a magical place, and the Yours Truly team do a great job of capturing that here. “When I saw the video, I could see the anxiety on my part, and it might not come though,” said Vanderslice. “I'm used to recording in my own studio under a very controlled setting, and this was total anarchy.
