Joe Goddard: "Gabriel"
Joe Goddard from Hot Chip has a new solo EP out on DFA titled Gabriel. The label is streaming the entire release in the Soundcloud clip below, with the lead track coming with an impressive vocal from Valentina. It’s an understated club-oriented number, with the angst-y singing neatly slotting in over the lopsided beats and odd pieces of audio ephemera Goddard expertly stirs into the mix. Three other tracks also feature, including the lengthy contemplative house jam “All I Know,” the strident “Jump” and a dub remix of “Gabriel.”
