jj: "I Know"

"I Know," the vinyl-only bonus track fromjj nº 3, the new album by Gothenburg, Sweden-based duo jj, starts with a simple snare and string melody, adds an emotive swirl of layered vocals, and comes out sounding both plaintive and pastoral. The duo makes the kind of Balearic pop that lends itself more to emotions that intellect, so I'm not convinced that they do, in fact, know. But I certainly believe that they feel.

jj nº 3 is out now on Secretly Canadian. The band is going on tour with the xx in a week and a half.
